Crooked Hilary Melt-Down?

I haven’t liked the Clinton’s since President Bill Clinton started running for the White House. I was disappointed in both political parties, the Republicans as well as the Democrats, for failing to support the judicial process - that is, Ken Starr’s investigation into Whitewater. Allegations of pressure brought against federal investigators - wait, wasn’t Ken Starr fired before he could finish his investigation? Hello!

I never understood where Hilary came from, going from Arkansas attorney and governor’s wife, to President’s wife - to Senator from New York. Either she was competent and the people that new her best wanted her to represent them - that is, Arkansas or — New York was willing to sell a Senate seat for some reason.

So here we are with Mrs. Hilary Clinton, wife of President William Clinton, refusing to use any form of address that implies her status was achieved by being married to President Bill Clinton. And we have the spectre of the US actually putting Hilary in the Oval Office on her own nameplate. Except the understanding is that she has access to the eight years of experience of Bill Clinton as President. Presumably Hilary will form her own policies for dealing with interns and other staff, such as Monica Lewinsky. We already have criminal investigations, including Whitewater and reports on the FBI files Hilary held in her possession until the statue of limitations ran out, then the files were recovered, complete with Hilary’s fingerprints on the covers. So we know we can’t trust Mrs. Hilary Rodham Clinton to tell the truth or obey the law. We also know for dead certain sure that Hilary has the weakness that interrupted the Nixon presidency - she is not only criminal in behavior, but she isn’t good enough to escape getting caught at it.

OK. So Hilary wants to imply that she has access to eight years of actual Presidential experience. And Bill Clinton is in the public eye - and the coverage is about his lack of control, his temper, stealing speeches from competitor Barrack Obama - and looking like and old, old man, with concerns about dementia. Not exactly the symbol of competent support with years of political experience in the intended job. If Hilary does get elected, I imagine there will be continuous running battles over Bill Clinton and inappropriate uses of the Presidency and role of the Presidential Spouse. Traditionally we have come to expect that the President’s spouse is responsible, seldom speaks out, supportive. Kind of like the Vice President, only without another salary.

In one way, I welcome the harm that Bill Clinton seems to be doing to the assumptions about what Hilary might bring to the office of the Presidency of the United States. I don’t think Crooked Hilary is competent, or suited to the role she strives for. I find her mercenary, abusive, and self-centered. And her integrity sucks - that she could remain married to Bill for many years, that she stayed with him after the Lewinsky affair came to light, and she hadn’t corrected his bad behavior. She has proven willing to put up with broken vows, random exposure to sexually transmitted diseases, random abuse of others (Lewinsky), and willing to take it all to bed with her. But not call herself a married woman. Remember, it is Senator Hilary Clinton, not Senator Mrs. Hilary Rodham Clinton. The opportunist.

I find it sad to see a past President, Bill Clinton, presenting such a troubled and incompetent image. President Clinton’s actions and speech reflect poorly on his years in office and reflect poorly on the trust invested in him by the Hilary for President campaign and by the Democratic Party. Heaven knows, I appreciate when candidates I detest want to self-destruct, but even then there are institutions and people involved that deserve better.
